Stony Brook

This 21-acre parcel lies between Meadow brook Road and Route 3, along the south side of the Stony Brook line of the Boston & Maine Railroad. Stony Brook bisects the property.

This area is a great wildlife habitat area and is frequented by migratory waterfowl, as well as beaver, muskrat, otter, herons, and deer. It also provides access to the stocked trout brook that is a favorite of fisherman. The brook is also important for public and private drinking water. The property is part of the recharge area for the Chelmsford Water District's Meadow brook well. The beautiful meadows surrounding Stony Brook are visible as one crosses the railroad bridge, on Princeton Street in North Chelmsford.

Location: The east side of Meadow brook Road. Adjacent to the railroad
